The wooden tower is 33.32 metres high, the viewing platform is 30 metres high and was inaugurated on August 18, 1954. There are four benches and three panoramic panels. On days with a foehn wind, you can see as far as the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
Access
Hiking trails lead from the car park on Katzenschwanzstrasse to the observation tower in around 15 minutes. The observation platform is reached via 152 steps and 2 intermediate platforms. The tower offers a view from Hörnli to Pilatus. Next to the tower there is a forest hut, fire pits and various seating areas.
