The blacksmith from Lochputz
An old blacksmith once lived in the Zammerloch Gorge. His loneliness ended when he discovered a beautiful figure of light - a nymph. The two lived together in the gorge for many years. But when suitors wooed the nymph, the blacksmith set them tasks. A shepherd fulfilled these and won the nymph as his bride. However, the jealous blacksmith cut off the suspension bridge when the shepherd came to the wedding and turned him into a bull's head made of stone. The forge burned down and the nymph retreated to the back of the gorge, where she is now united with the transformed shepherd. Some claim to have seen the bull's head and the beautiful girl's head in the rocks.
