Emma Kunz
In the Swiss realms of the 19th century, amidst the turmoil of the times, reigned a remarkable soul: Emma Kunz. Her existence spanned from 1892 to 1963, but her traces reach far beyond the boundaries of the decades. As a being of extraordinary destiny, she was noted in the collective memory as a healer, but her self-perception was of a more far-reaching nature - she considered herself an explorer. A reputation that today echoes far beyond the Alps through her artistic work.
Even during her school days, Emma Kunz delighted in the extraordinary phenomena of life. At the tender age of 18, she began to weave the threads of her gifts of telepathy, prophecy and healing, and she ventured into the realm of pendulums. Her consultations and therapies brought about successes that broke the boundaries of the ordinary - miracles that took one's breath away.
But the term "miracle" was a discordant song for her, because she only recognized the ability to unleash the powers that lay dormant within every human being. This realization led her to discover the ethereal potency of the Swiss healing stone in 1942, to which she gave the sonorous name "AION A".
From 1938 onwards, Emma Kunz began to create monumental works on graph paper. Her paintings encompassed the essence of shape and form as scale, rhythm, symbol and metamorphosis of number and principle. As a visionary of art, she left behind a kaleidoscopic legacy, the coding of which contains immeasurable knowledge. Her paintings are probably the most direct way to discover the mysterious nature of Emma Kunz.
