The Enea Tree Museum on the Zurich Obersee near Rapperswil-Jona is one of the most beautiful nature parks in Switzerland and opened its doors to visitors in 2010. Open spaces, a sheer variety of trees and a homage to the trees celebrate the growing wood in an impressive way in combination with art and sculpture.

The aura of immortality makes you really aware of human finiteness. Over 50 trees, some of them 100 years old, create a lively force of nature and an atmosphere of inner peace.

Art in the Tree Museum

The integration of art and nature has always been part of the idea of the tree museum. The idea was inspired not only by the decoration, but above all by the merging of nature and sculpture. Contemporary art provides special experiences of form, space and color in a wide variety of facets. Works by the following artists can currently be viewed: Sylvie Fleury, Richard Erdman, Jaume Plensa, Sergio Tappa, Claire Morgan, Jean Dubuffet, Cristian Andersen, James Licini, Stella Hamberg, Jürgen Drescher, Izumi Masathoshi, Jérémie Crettol, Nigel Hall, Veronica Mar, Olaf Nicolai, Lilian Bourgeat, John Giorno, Helga Vockenhuber, Ugo Rondinone, Los Carpinteros, Olaf Breuning and Kerim Seiler.
