The TK Elevator Test Tower, also known as the TK Elevator Test Tower Rottweil, rises majestically above Rottweil and towers an impressive 246 meters into the air. As an epicenter of elevator technology for express and high-speed elevators, this tower was built by Thyssenkrupp Elevator between 2014 and 2017. With a visitor platform at a breathtaking height of 232 meters, it offers visitors Germany's highest observation deck and is the second highest test tower for elevator systems in the world. Including the basement floors, which serve as a test environment for the elevator shafts, the shaft of the tower extends to a total length of 275.5 meters.

This architectural masterpiece has won numerous architecture, engineering and design awards and has some unique features. The tower is the first structure in the world that can simulate vibrations using a pendulum inside the shaft to test real wind loads. Its shaft is wrapped in a special fiberglass textile along a spiral tube that defines the external shape of the tower. Thus, the tower is not only a symbol of technological innovation, but also the tallest textile-clad building in the world.

The view from the platform is breathtaking and unforgettable.
