Almost 130 steps lead above the treetops to a platform with a fabulous panoramic view. The view from a height of over 25 meters over the Zurich lowlands, the airport and the first hills of the Jura and the Black Forest is impressive. The view of the Rhine winding through the forests is unique and if you can see far enough, the Alps even seem close enough to touch.
Access
The observation tower can only be reached on foot. From the car park at the highest point of the "Alte Bütbergstrasse" you can reach the Petersboden tower in about 15 minutes on a well-developed hiking trail with no great difference in altitude. There is a small fireplace under the tower.
