In the quiet depths of nature, where only a few dare to tread, a secret jewel lies dormant - the majestic yet little-known gorge in Beckenried.

background

The polished rock tells a centuries-old story of constantly flowing water that has tirelessly carved its way deep into the heart of the rock. Snail-shell-shaped whirlpool holes adorn the rock, giving it an enchanting appearance, as if nature itself had left its imaginative brushstrokes here. If you dare to stand on one of the two iron bridges and lean out, you can hear the thunderous roar of the wild water coursing its way through the gorge from far below.

The path to the Risleten Gorge and Rütenen reveals a nature experience of a special kind. You can get there on foot from Beckenried all year round without the pitfalls of snow. On your way you pass the idyllic Rütenen picnic and bathing area. Especially in the warm months of summer, this place is a popular refuge for guests and locals alike. The gently green banks of the Rütenen square invite you to linger and relax.

If the walk seems too long, you can drive to Rütenen. Paid parking is available there, so you can shorten your hike and still explore the region's wonderful natural treasures.

A small, hidden oasis also reveals itself near the Risleten. There you will find an idyllic green area that is perfect for a leisurely picnic or a refreshing swim at the climbing rocks. Here you will even find a fireplace with wood to warm yourself up by a romantic campfire and end the evening in a harmonious atmosphere. For those who love the water, there is a small harbor where you can moor small boats and experience the quiet beauty of nature from a completely new perspective.
