The 45 menhirs on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel were created around 6,000 years ago. Many of the stones were not only transported from far away, but were carved by human hands into the shape of a human body. The aura that surrounds the place is unique. The idea that archaic rituals took place here thousands of years ago is inspiring.

The place used to be an important social and religious meeting place. The 4.5 meter high statues weigh over 5 tons and are believed to represent gods, heroes and ancestors who were worshipped at the mystical place. The stone rows consist of two 50 meter long rows and four stone groups that form a semicircle. Some people believe they can feel soothing waves here.
