There was a castle in Jaun - but it has not yet been determined when it was built. The ruins of the castle, which was probably destroyed by the Bernese in 1407, were located between the Euschelstal and the Oberbach above the main road at an altitude of around 1180 m. Today the ruins can be admired with a great view.

Access

There are some parking spaces in front of the castle. Otherwise, the castle ruins can be reached on foot within a short distance from the village of Jaun.
